Manipur Legislative Assembly’s 5th session set to commence on February 28

Imphal, Feb 10: The 5th session of the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly is set to begin on February 28, as announced by State Minister Sapam Ranjan following a cabinet meeting.

“The cabinet decided to hold the 5th session of the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly from February 28. Since it is the first sitting of the year, the governor’s address is also scheduled,” Sapam said.

This session marks the first sitting of the year, with the governor’s address scheduled accordingly.

He also said that the cabinet approved a proposal to grant state police commandos a compensatory allowance of Rs 5,000 per month, while other security forces in Manipur will receive Rs 3,000 per month.
