Delhi, Feb 27: President of Lamyamba Irabot Memorial Integrated Trust (LIMIT) Malem Thongam is on hunger strike to bring peace and normalcy in the state of Manipur which broke into ethnic violence since May 2023.

The transgender activist has been fasting since 22nd February and has demanded intervention of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to restore peace and to terminate the Suspension of Operation (SoO) with Kuki armed militants.
