Shillong, Dec 14: In a video that has gone viral, All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) chairperson Mamata Banerjee had difficulty recalling the names of the three major tribes of Meghalaya.
On the two – day visit to Shillong, Banerjee was interacting with party workers on Tuesday but couldn’t pronounce or recall the names of the Khasi, Jaintia and Garo tribe.
She was seen asking for assistance from her party members at the stage.
However, this has not gone down well with the natives of Meghalaya, who have slammed the AITC supremo for such action.
Not only this, AITC also used old footage of digital news platform EastMojo of the Nagaland women to display the condition of women in the State of Meghalaya!
All these actions of AITC, which is contesting the upcoming 2023 Assembly elections, have drawn the anger of the citizens who wonder about the preparations and sincerity of the party that seeks to rule over them.
