“Law and order situation totally failed in Manipur”: RK Ranjan Singh after mob torches his residence

Imphal, June 16: Union Minister RK Ranjan Singh, whose residence was set on fire by mob in Kongba in Imphal on Thursday late night said that he is shocked and the law and order situation has totally failed in the state.

While speaking to media, RK Ranjan Singh said, “I am shocked. The law and order situation in Manipur has totally failed.”

He also said that the fire brigade was not able cannot enter the area, as the area was blocked by the people.

At the time of the incident, RK Ranjan Singh and his family was not present at their residence.

Later, the security guards and fire fighters managed to control arson attempts by the mob and saved minister’s house from being burnt down.

Also, no casualties were reported.

This comes days after state minister Nemcha Kipgen’s house was torched in the capital.
