Shillong, July 5: In a significant development, the Hima Mawphlang handed over the No Objection Certificate (NOC) to Chief Secretary DP Wahlang on Friday, after three years of continuous dialogue.
This milestone paves the way for the commencement of the Greater Shillong Water Supply Phase III project within the Hima’s jurisdiction.
The project will include the construction of a new treatment plant and essential repair work on the existing dam.
