Shillong, Feb 5: Tourism Minister Paul Lyngdoh on Wednesday said that the government will extend full support for the upcoming Ed Sheeran’s concert at Polo, Shillong.

“I will chair a high-level meeting on February 6. The Book My Show organizer will be here for the next 3-4 days to ensure that all logistics are in place and whatever support which they require from the state government in terms of policing, security, medical facilities, clearance of road – all of these have been discussed in detail,” he told reporters.

Asked, Lyngdoh said, “We have a turf protector, the latest technology being used across the globe and our turf is already being used by bands including cold play and these are being hired by concert organizers across the country. So, if it has worked well in Mumbai why should it not work well with JN Stadium.”
