Fire contained in Jhalupara; One house damaged

Shillong, Jan 27: A fire broke out in a residential area of Jhalupara, Shillong on Monday afternoon, leaving one house severely damaged.

However, prompt action by the fire department ensured the blaze was brought under control, preventing it from spreading to nearby properties.

Four fire tenders were dispatched to the scene, and the firefighters successfully contained the fire. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the incident.
