Shillong, Feb 15: BJP national secretary Rituraj Sinha on Wednesday took a dig at the Congress stating that “every vote to the Congress is a vote wasted”.

“…Congress is not going to be a part of the government. Who wants an MLA who will be sitting in the opposition bench for five years and not able to do anything for the people of the constituency,” stated Singha.

On replying to a query as how the BJP manifesto is different from other parties, Sinha expressed that the BJP’s is “materially different”.

The national secretary of the BJP also lashed out at the West Bengal based TMC. Quoting its new abbreviation, Sinha said, “T stands for Tollabazi, M stands for Mass Bangladeshi inflation and C stands for Cut Money and Corruption”. He also accused the TMC of only doing “election tourism” in the State of Meghalaya.

“…there are parties roaming around in the state campaigning today which were not there in the 2018 Meghalaya election, they are making big promises, big ads… I want to ask Meghalayan a question – will these parties be there in your 2028 election? Nobody knows for sure, they are here for election tourism,” he claimed.

As far as Congress is concerned, Singha said that everybody knows in Meghalaya, the people here are very well educated that every vote to Congress is a vote wasted.

He further stated that other parties’ manifesto maybe frivolous but the BJP’s is a vision document- A Resolution resolved under Prime Minster Modi.

Singha further stated that Congress from having had 28% vote shares in the previous election will get less than 2% vote share in the upcoming State assembly elections.
