Shillong, Jan 9: East Jaintia Hills police on Monday seized over 2,34,000 ml of illicit liquor at Umkiang.
While conducting random vehicle checking, a police naka party detected one cement truck (JH 02 AG 7792) and recovered 26 carton boxes of illicit liquor (IMFL) of Royal Stag brand, containing 12 bottles in each box of 750 ml per bottle, police said.
The quantity of illicit IMFL seized is 2,34,000 ml, they said. According to police, further legal action is being taken on the matter.
