Dibrugarh, April 16: Congress leader Pawan Khera on Tuesday slammed BJP government for misusing Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI) against opposition leaders if they raised their voices against them.
Addressing a press conference Congress spokesperson stated that, “this election is important in the country’s history. The people are under constant fear that if BJP comes to power after that no elections will be held. The democracy will be finished and the constitution will be changed as per their wish,”.
He further stated that “I appeal to all the voters to vote consciously and vote to save the democracy and the constitution. If you join BJP they will help the person to become chief minister and those who don’t come into their trap then they will use ED behind and put the person behind the bars”.
He further stated that, “if the party comes to power, the government and officers who help BJP to illegally use the ED and CBI against the opposition leaders will not be spared. We will take action against them and they will be put behind the bars,”.
The Congress leader asked, why the four-lane highway in Assam has not been completed after many years. “The BJP government had promised the six-ethnic groups to give ST status but why were they not given till date,” Khera questioned.
“The tea garden wages are not hiked, which was promised by the government during the last parliamentary election. The BJP government has failed to fullfill the promises which they have made during the last elections,” Khera added.
“In BJP only two members take decision. They will not listen to the cabinet only two person rule the whole party Narendra Modi and Amit Shah. Now, Narendra Modi is afraid because they are claiming 400 plus seats but the result will tell us the whole story,”.
Slamming Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Khera said what Himanta Biswa Sarma said is not important for us. “When he was in Congress he was a disciplined man but now he has changed person after joining BJP,”.
