Shillong, June 1: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Wednesday met tennis maestro Leander Paes at his office.
CM shared a series of pictures with Leander Paes on his official Twitter handle and said, “A great honour to meet tennis maestro @Leander at my office. A very humble personality with such outstanding accomplishments. Wish him the best.”

On the professional ground, the Indian tennis icon Leander Paes who acquired a team from Kolkata, will be seen competing in the upcoming season five of the Tennis Premier League (TPL). The team will be playing against the likes of the Hyderabad Strikers, co-owned by Rakul Preet Singh, Pune Jaguars, co-owned by Sonali Bendre, Punjab Tigers, co-owned by Taapsee Pannu and Bengaluru Spartans whose ambassador is Sania Mirza.
According to the press release from TPL, all the games of the revolutionary Tennis Premier League will be played in the Balewadi Stadium in Pune in association with Maharashtra State Lawn Tennis Association (MSLTA) and the All India Tennis Association (AITA).
