Laptop found inside suspicious bag
Shillong, March 17: The state police on Monday swung into action and cordoned off a place at Laitumkhrah police point in Shillong after receiving information of an abandoned bag lying near a hotel.
When contacted, East Khasi Hills SP Vivek Syiem said that it was just an abandoned bag found lying near Prakash Hotel.
“We have to do the exercise. Since it was an abandoned bag we just took the precaution. But there is nothing as it is just a bag with a laptop and a pan card in it,” he said.
According to him, the owner, who had mistakenly left his bag near the hotel, has been identified and is on the way to claim it.
