SHILLONG, APR 7: In an unparalleled achievement for healthcare excellence in the Northeast region, Bethany Hospital, Shillong, has been designated as a Centre for Quality Promotion by the Consortium of Accredited Healthcare Organisations (CAHO), India. This prestigious recognition positions Bethany Hospital as the first in the Northeast and the 37th hospital nationwide to be acknowledged for its unwavering commitment to quality healthcare and patient safety.

The announcement was made during a two-day international healthcare conclave held in Kolkata which was graced by His Excellency Dr. C V Ananda Bose, Hon. Governor, West Bengal and saw the participation from key leaders in healthcare in the country and the world including Kresimir Antonio Paliska, Senior Vice-President and CEO,
AACI America, Dr Joel A Roos Vice President, Joint Commission International (JCI), Mr Manvir Victor, Board Member – Global Advisory Group for World Health Organisation,

As a Centre for Quality Promotion, Bethany Hospital embarks on a mission to advocate and implement the standards set forth by the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH) and National Accreditation Body for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) in the region. This initiative underscores the hospital’s dedication to enhancing healthcare quality and patient safety.
