Tura, May 1: Every indication appears to show a retaliatory attack targetting dumper trucks for recent accidents in Tura after two dumper trucks were set on fire inside a road construction company camp at Bokmagre, outside Tura early Wednesday morning.

Police informed that it happened around 3 O’ Clock early morning when workers were inside their cabin sleeping and the trucks were parked outside in the compound.

According to information given to police, there was only one supervisor who was in the camp when the incident happened.

Two parked dumper trucks were the target of the attackers who used some form of substance, suspected to be petrol, to set on fire the trucks.

One of the trucks was destroyed while the other suffered partial damage.

Recent events of accidents involving dumper trucks have turned people against companies and owners who operate them. The public are angry because drivers are not being controlled leading to high speed and accidents in which civilians have become victims.
