Guwahati, Feb 10: The Kaziranga National Park of Assam is ready to offer tourists a captivating experience of Assam’s rich tea culture.

The National Park, which is home to one of the largest numbers of one-horned rhinos in the world, will allow visitors to take a stroll in the lush green tea gardens around it. The tourists will also be allowed to visit the tea factories to witness how Assam’s CTC, orthodox or green tea, is organically grown and prepared. They will be facilitated with tea tastings amid the greenery.

Kaziranga National Park authorities, which is one of the most visited destinations for tourists in the Northeast, have started such fresh initiatives to attract more tourists after tourism worldwide was severely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Tourists visiting the park increased from 2.55 lakh in 2022 to 3.26 lakh in 2023. However, more than 1.79 lakh tourists have already visited the national park and tiger reserve since October this year.
