Assam: Two Physically Challenged Brothers Die in Tragic Fire, Mother’s Situation Critical

Boko, April 30: In a heart-wrenching incident late last night, a devastating fire broke out at the residence of Bahadur Ali in Jahirpur village under Goroimari PS, in the Kamrup district of Assam. The sudden blaze, reportedly caused by an electrical short circuit, tragically resulted in the deaths of Bahadur Ali’s two sons, Sajan Ali (20) and Samej Ali (22) who were caught in the flames. As per locals, both were physically challenged.

Bahadur Ali’s wife, Azzuwara Begum, sustained severe burns and is currently receiving medical treatment. The fire inflicted considerable damage on the family’s property. The fire brigade arrived at the scene and was able to extinguish the fire.

Meanwhile, the Goroimari Police reached the scene. They recovered the bodies and sent them to GMCH for post-mortem.

The tragedy has sent shockwaves throughout the region, with locals rallying around the bereaved family during this difficult time. They are also urging local authorities to provide adequate compensation to the affected family.
