Shillong, Dec 5: The Anti Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) of Meghalaya arrested a drug supplier and seized contraband items from his posession during the raid at Lum Survey in Shillong on Thursday.
The individual has been identified as- Sayed Ali of Lum Survey, Shillong.
“We have got an information at around 3 pm that one person by the name of Sayed Ali of Lum Survey, Shillong has received consignment of drugs from unknown supplier and is about to deliver drugs to some customers,” said police official.
He said, “On reaching Lum Survey the suspect was detained by the ANTF Meghalaya and search was conducted in his house from where two plastic soap cases and 40 numbers of vials filled with suspected yellow/orange powder was recovered, from the house of Sayed Ali hidden under the wooden planks of his bed,”.
The preliminary test of the contraband was conducted which gave positive result of heroin and the total weight of the contraband is 25.45grams.
