Amit Shah, Himanta Biswa Sarma perform Swacchta Sewa at Mahabhairab temple at Tezpur

Guwahati, Jan 19: Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday evening took part in Swacchta Sewa at Mahabhairab temple at Tezpur.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is on a three-day visit to Assam and Meghalaya beginning Thursday (January 18).

He is also scheduled to participate in the 13th triennial conference of the All Bathou Mahasabha in Dhekiajuli, Sonitpur district.

Earlier in the day Shah attend the passing out parade of 2,551 Assam Police commandos at Sarusajai Stadium in Guwahati during the evening. He also unveiled the book ‘Assam’s Braveheart Lachit Barphukan’ at Srimanta Sankardeva International Auditorium in the city.

The home minister will also inaugurate the Brahmaputra Riverfront in Guwahati before concluding his visit and returning to Delhi.
