Tura Sept 25: A•chik Holistic Awakening Movement (AHAM) Songkama Unit from East Garo Hills, Meghalaya, successfully rescued dogs from the illegal dog suppliers on Sunday.
The rescue of dogs happened at around 3:00 p.m.
The team that rescued the dogs said that during the rescue operation, the illegal dog suppliers promised that they would not do such activities in the future.
It was only after this that the team decided not to take any further legal steps.
“We are incredibly proud of our Songkama Unit, who made this rescue operation successful,” said a member of A•chik Holistic Awakening Movement (AHAM).
Through joint efforts and community support, we shall overcome this unkind of activity because these domestic pets are not subject to being killed, but they were desperately seeking care and love from humans, he added.
