Shillong, Sep 24: In a truly inspiring story that proves age is just a number, 53-year-old Lakyntiew Syiemlieh has achieved a remarkable milestone by earning her Bachelor’s of Arts (BA) Degree. Her journey serves as a powerful reminder that with determination and hard work, dreams can be realized at any age.

Hailing from Umsning Lum-Umpih, Lakyntiew is not only a mother but also a teacher by profession, currently teaching at the Persara Upper Primary School in Umsning, Ri Bhoi. Her commitment to furthering her education is nothing short of extraordinary, as she enrolled herself at Balawan College, Umsning, and proudly graduated this year.

Her story embodies the essence of the famous saying that age should never be a barrier to learning. Lakyntiew Syiemlieh stands as a shining example, breaking down the misconception that education is exclusively for the young. Her journey sends a powerful message, “education knows no age limits”.
