SHILLONG, JUL 29: An advocate accused of molesting an intern was paraded through the city with his hands on his ears, as seen in a video that went viral.
Following the incident, the state bar association apprised the Chief Justice of the Meghalaya High Court of the manner in which the lawyer was taken around.
The issue was formally mentioned before the Chief Justice, according to an official source.
The case came to light after the intern lodged an FIR at Sadar Police Station alleging molestation and that the advocate had offered her cash to remain silent.
Members of Hynniewtrep National Youth Front (HNYF) had taken up the matter after the complaint was filed.
