SHILLONG, MAY 3: In a joint operation, Police and Excise officials seized 600 litres of illegal liquor during a vice raid conducted across multiple locations in Shillong on Saturday night.
The raid was carried out at Polo, Jeep Stand, and Urkaliar areas of East Khasi Hills. It was led by Additional Superintendent of Police, East Khasi Hills, Saurav Saini and Deputy Superintendent of Police, Women & Children Cell, Joyti Wahlang.
Officials said the operation targeted illicit liquor sales and distribution points in the three localities. A total of 600 litres of illegal liquor was confiscated during the drive.
The seized liquor has been handed over to the Excise Department for seizure and further legal action as per provisions of law.
