The Superintendent of Police West Garo Hills, Abraham T Sangma informed that the accused, who allegedly kidnapped and raped the minor, has been arrested and booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

The SP said that according to the FIR received by the Officer-in-Charge of Tikrikilla Police Station on July 3, the complainant reported that his daughter went missing from their residence around 3:30 AM on June 30.
