GANGTOK, June 7: A girl from Sikkim was gang raped in Kishanganj, Bihar at a guest house by two individuals. The victim girl had stayed at a guest house after she missed her train to Sikkim on Wednesday night.

The victim girl, along with her friend, was bound to return to Sikkim. However, they somehow missed their train, following which they contacted one of their local friends, who made arrangements for them in a guest house.

The accused have been identified as Arhan Akhtar, a resident of Bahadurganj, and Amjad Hussain, a resident of Araria district. It’s been learned that one of the accused, Akhtar, was known to the friend of the victim girl.

The accused were reported to be drunk who forcibly entered the victim’s room and started making sexual advances forcing themselves on the girls. Upon being confronted by the male friend of the girls, they reportedly tied him down and then took turns to rape the victim girl.
