Man finds dead lizard in Guwahati’s Maa Kali hotel food; complaint lodged

Guwahati, Sept 26: In a shocking incident, a major ruckus erupted at a restaurant in Guwahati after a customer found a dead lizard in a rice thali.

The incident is said to have occurred at the Maa Kali Hotel in Guwahati’s Paltan Bazaar on Monday night.

According to reports, the customer, who hails from Silchar, visited the hotel for dinner. While he was having his food, he found the dead lizard in his food, which led to a heated altercation with the staff members.

Following this incident, the upset customer lodged a formal complaint at the Paltan Bazar Police Station, accusing the hotel of breaching hygiene standards and jeopardising public health.

Meanwhile, the incident has grabbed the attention of social media users who have been sharing the news and expressing their outrage over the hotel’s negligence.

Many users are also demanding strict action against the hotel.

The incident has also sparked a discussion about the importance of food safety regulations and the need for regular inspections in restaurants and hotels.
