Manipur: Kuki-Zo people of Kangpokpi prays for separate administration

Imphal, Aug 4: The Kuki-Zo people across Kangpokpi district under the aegis of Kangpokpi district Tribal Churches Leaders Fellowship prayed together for their demand of Separate Administration at the earliest.

The massive mass prayer service was held at Brig. M. Thomas ground, Kangpokpi, and it was also joined by various Kuki-Zo prominent leaders, Church leaders, intellectuals, civil society organizations leaders, social workers, etc.

Kuki Inpi Manipur President, Ch. Ajang Khongsai, CoTU’s Vice Chairman, Lunthang Haokip, human rights activist Dr. S. Chongloi, Kuki Women Organization for Human Rights President, Hahat Touthang, and many other prominent leaders spoke on the occasion while Church leaders also spoke in the event.

Among many others, the main prayer point according to the Kangpokpi District Tribal Churches Leaders Fellowship was for the success of the Kuki-Zo people’s demand, i.e. separate administration at the earliest.

At least three prayer sessions were held during the five-hour-long mass prayer event with various prayer points.

Various prominent Kuki-Zo gospel artists enthralled the crowd with gospel songs during the event.
