Guwahati, June 15: In a major development in the leakage and circulation of HSLC exam question paper for General Science, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of Assam police on Thursday submitted the charge sheet against 41 accused persons including 10 teachers.
According to Police, the charge sheet that has been submitted by the CID names 41 accused including 10 teachers, 24 students, 2 attendants and middleman.
The charge sheet has been filed under the Indian Penal Code (PC) sections of 120B/420/409/218/201 and Sec 66B of the IT Act.
All the accused have been booked for being involved in the conspiracy to leak HSLC exam question paper of General Science.
Meanwhile, Assam Minister, Ranoj Pegu thanked the state police for concluding the investigation and submitting the charge sheet.
A case under Sec 66B IT Act was also added section 409/201/2018 of IPC was registered on March 13, this year on the complaint lodged by the Secondary Board of Education, Assam (SEBA) related to the leakage of exam paper.
