Guwahati, May 19: Assam police arrested four persons in connection with alleged gang-rape of 13-year-old girl inside a moving van in Assam’s Kokrajhar district.
The four persons have been identified as- Rubel Rahman, Imbran Hussain, Maminur Rahman and Anowar Hussain.
According to reports, the minor girl was allegedly ‘gang-raped’ by at least four youths inside a moving car in Kokrajhar on May 18.
Police said four youths ‘forcibly’ took the girl inside a car and allegedly raped her.
“The accused have been booked under various sections of Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POSCO). The accused were produced before a court in Kokrajhar,” said a police official.
He further added,”They have been sent to three-day police custody”.
