Jowai, Jan 19: Athletes from the 11 district along with the host district West Jaiñtia Hills arrived at Ladmukhla ground, Jowai on Sunday for the much anticipated 6th Meghalaya games.
They were warmly welcomed at the reception venue in the presence of Jowai MLA, Wailadmiki Shylla, Deputy Commissioner, B. S Sohliya, amongst officials from the District and the state.
The organisers were also present at the venue to oversee the arrangements and ensure everything was in place.
Wailadmiki Shylla encouraged residents of the West Jaiñtia Hills District to warmly welcome and support the athletes during their stay in the district and make it a memorable one.
Some of the athletes expressed their happiness and satisfaction with the arrangements. Many appreciated the warm welcome and well organised preparation at the Reception Venue.
