Agartala, August 28: In a significant development on Monday, the state of Tripura joined the rest of the nation in a momentous event ‘Rozgar Mela’ as appointment letters were bestowed upon newly recruited individuals joining various paramilitary forces.

The distribution ceremony took place at the BSF Tripura Frontier headquarters, situated at Salbagan, just outside the capital city of Agartala.

The event witnessed the presence of Union Minister of State in the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Pratima Bhowmik, alongside the Inspector General of the Border Security Force (BSF), the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), and other officials from different security units.

A total of 447 appointment letters from various paramilitary forces, including the BSF, CRPF, SSB, CISF, and ITBP, were handed out to the eager recruits during the occasion.

Commending the fresh recruits, which notably included a considerable number of female candidates, the Minister of State encouraged the newly appointed members to fulfil their responsibilities with unwavering commitment.

Meanwhile, the recipients of the appointment letters expressed their profound gratitude and shared their enthusiasm for joining the ranks of the security forces.

They affirmed their readiness to dedicate themselves wholeheartedly to the service of the nation and noted that one key point of appreciation was the streamlining of the recruitment process, which now concludes within a span of six to eight months.

This efficiency was highlighted as a significant advantage by those who participated in the recruitment drive.

Families of the newly appointed recruits also took part in the programme, sharing their joy and pride in witnessing their children secure employment opportunities that allow them to contribute to the nation’s security.

Notably, this initiative was part of a wider effort across the country, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi oversaw the distribution of approximately 51,000 appointment letters on the same day.

This concerted effort underscores the nation’s commitment to strengthening its security apparatus and providing employment opportunities to its citizens
