Shillong, November 12: The 18th Wine Festival organised by Forever Young Sports Club was held on Saturday at Pine Mount Ridge in Shillong.

A total of 11 homemade wine stalls were set up alongside barbeque food joints. Local band ‘Colours’ performed while wine lovers sipped on their wine.

This event also happens to be a success after the Meghalaya government decided to legalise home made wines in the state in 2020.

Founder of Forever Young Sports Club, Michael Syiem, lauded the Conrad Sangma led government for making it happen. However, Syiem expressed his sadness over the failure of the government to include wine festival in the autumn festival.
